Archie's Nemesis The rapid probably used to have another name ... but after a determined Archie tried to run it three times and swam all three times it will henceforth be known as Archie's Nemesis.

The rapid next to Ga-Mabin is a steep bouldery ramp. At high water levels its intimidating - but this time round it was just frothy fun ! At least thats what we all said at the bottom ... <grin>

The second rapid after Ga-Mabin is just a bit nasty - diagonal pourovers, hungry holes, a tricky line and rows of razor sharp rocks just waiting. Heidi and Lynn made it look easy but the rest of us grovelled !!

And we're dying to know exactly what Marietjie was saying to Archie ...
