The ESSA Formal Dinner will be held this year in a cave (which is a national monument so no graffiti) at Schaapplaats near Clarens on Sat the 7th of Oct. (ie NEXT WEEKEND!!)

The plan is to go down on either the Friday night or the Saturday morning. The Dinner will be on Saturday evening and the Annual Cricket game will be on Sunday Morning.

Formal attire is mandatory as are cricket whites for the Sunday (regardless of your cricket ability)

Costs will be about R300.00 a head for the weekend and will cover the cost of the Cave, the dinner and breakfast on the Sunday.

The area is great for walking, hiking, biking etc and is about 3 hours from Joies. The formal dinner is always a great event and we look forward to you joining us!

For more info about the region and the farm see below:

Schaapplaats is a working farm (with horses for those who are keen to ride), but people go there mainly for its famous rock art, amazing sandstone caves and to hike.
