Swinburne Sports Climbing weekend
Submitted by Paul Marais on
It's not often that one location can cater for so many styles of a sport and then still offers more. Want to boulder? Test your sport climb skills on easy stuff……..or push yourself to the max on really hard sends? Multi-pitch climb? Hike? Mountain bike? Star gaze? Hang out with interesting people?
If any of this peaks your interest, then join us for an awesome weekend in a beautiful place where you can take it as hard, or easy, as you like.
This is a joint meet of MCSA, ESSA and possibly Exploratio.
The location is Swinburne. (http://www.saclimb.co.za/freestate/swinburne_main.html)
For accommodation you have a choice between camping in your own tent or booking a bunk in the "Barn". The barn offers lots of bunk beds with mattresses, a communal kitchen (open plan) and a fire place. The showers and toilets are just outside (enclosed, dont worry LOL).
The costs are R50pp/night for a camping and R60pp/night for a bunk.
There is also a stove, electricity and a communal fridge in the barn, but it’s not too big, so please bring your own cooler box/bag as well.
There are plenty of chairs to sit around outside and a few braais as well.
EVERYONE CATERS FOR THEMSELVES
