Mountain Sanctuary
We are planning a winter trip to Mountain Sanctuary from 13 to 16 June.
You can join us for any period your diary allows - the full 4 days, or just for a day trip without staying overnight.
Please let me know if you are keen (and for when), so we can secure accommodation.
There are lots of possible activities,
- Hiking in the beautiful Cederberg and Tonquani Kloofs (and swim in the crystal clear rock pools, if you brave the cold water)
- Rock climbing
- Kayaking at Buffelspoort Dam
- Cycling on the newly established Mountain Biking trials
Accommodation, is available on the reserve, and ranges from camping sites to chalets and log cabins, both of which are fitted with heaters for those cozy winter nights (costs are below).
Families are welcome, and actually the more families there will be the easier it will be to share the baby sitting.
Some more info:
The reserve is approximately 120 km west of
This reserve has become a haven for hikers, birdwatchers, botanists, game viewers and anyone else seeking refuge from the rigors of urban stress.
