An Antarctic double bill will be presented by Dawie Arndt and Jeremy Bense, with Dawie covering his experiences as a member of the SANAE 35 expedition and Jeremy dealing with the construction of the current South African Antarctic base, SANAE IV.

David did a trip on a Royal Enfield motorcycle, on the highest motor-able road in the world, the Khardungla Pass, which is 5604 meters above sea level. The trip ran from New Delhi, India up to Ladakh, the highest plateau of the Indian state of Kashmir.  Ladakh spans the Himalayan and Karakoram mountain ranges.  The presentation will be of the trip, the motorcycle and the people he met along the way as well as the awesome scenery of the region and the “Khardungla Pass”.

Soccer at the fan park was a great outing, with lots of entertainment inbetween matches and a great south african spirit kept out the cold.

There wasn't too much to explore in Lilongwe. We spent most of the time re-stocking our food reserves and lazing around at the hotel pool. In the evening we had surprise visit and dinner invitation by the South African High Commissioner and her husband and subsequently spent a very interesting evening with them.

Before joining the freedom challenge which is an off road mountain bike challenge from Durban to Cape Town, Jaco will be adding a short extra Diversion from Beit Bridge to the start of the trip!  As well as telling us about his recent circumnavigation of Lesotho by mountain bike he will share his beefed up freedom challenge experiences
