Rwenzori Birds

Uganda is known for its rich bird life, and the Rwenzoris even more so. Stephen Trickett, our chief birder, ably supported by Lorna, Piers, Ela, Stephen Carrott and others, identified 78 types of birds, ranging from the ever present city slicker marabou stork to the ‘found only at altitudes over 4000m’ Scarlet Tufted Sunbird, an unusually large and strikingly beautiful feathered friend.
