This small island, the other side of Madagascar, is part of France and was explored, mainly on foot , by Gert-Jan and other enthusiasts. They went to the highest Point (Piton de Neiges, 3070m) as well as the world's second most active volcano, Piton de la Fournaise and some villages that cannot be accessed by car.
