For the adventure of it, and also to prove the aircraft to themselves and the world, Mike Blyth and James Pitman,  recently flew the production prototype Sling around the world. The aircraft performed flawlessly, flying numerous legs of over 2 000 nm (3 600 km) over the world's oceans, west to east and with almost the entire route in the ITCZ. James and Mike note that there are only two structural differences between the standard and the round the world Sling - the sealing off of additional spaces in the wing to hold additional fuel and the addition of 15 layers of glass fibre to the main undercarriage to provide more stiffness.  Join us to hear more of this amazing adventure.
