 Byron Taylor, is 47 years old and married with two children. and an adventure motorcyclist with 30 years experience in riding predominantly offroad motorcycles. Previous adventure trips include various rides in and around Southern Africa including one to Malawi and back.

The talk  will deal with a motorcycle trip undertaken by four South African's which started in Mexico and ended in Buenos Aires in Argentina. It extended over 20 000 kilometers, 13 countries and took 80 days to complete. In the process, we crossed the Andes Mountains 3 times and took in such tourist sites as the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza (the most visited archeological site in Mexico) and Machu Picchu (Peru), both of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Special mention as well of a linkup with the Dakar Rally which now runs through Argentina, Chile and Peru and a visit to the largest salt pan on the planet in Bolivia, Salar de Uyuni.
